An incident involving Shadab Khan happened on Sunday during Pakistan’s National T20 Cup domestic tournament match between Sialkot and Rawalpindi that has gone viral.
Shadab twisted his ankle during the game and needed to be taken off the field. However, since there was no stretcher available at that time at the United Bank Limited Sports Complex in Karachi, Shadab was carried off the playing field by his teammate on his back.
A video of this incident has gone viral on social media.

Islamabad United said that Shadab suffered this strain on his ankle while fielding. He was taken for scans later on, but fortunately nothing serious or concerning came out of the scans.
Islamabad United, Shadab’s PSL franchise, gave an update on his injury.
“Update on Shadab Khan, @76Shadabkhan was bowling brilliantly in the National T20 Cup, conceding only 7 in 2 overs before he was taken off the field. He twisted his ankle while fielding however initial reports suggest it is nothing serious,” Islamabad United tweeted.
In the viral video, Shadab is being taken off the field on the back of his teammate like a child. This raised questions over the competency of the match organizers for the lack of a stretcher at the ground.
