VIDEO - Lasith Malinga's Reaction To Jasprit Bumrah's Deadly Yorker Has Gone Viral

Jasprit Bumrah made a remarkable start to the IPL 2024 season by knocking down Wriddhiman Saha’s wicket with a brilliant delivery. This happened during the match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Lasith Malinga’s Reaction To Jasprit Bumrah’s Deadly Yorker Has Gone Viral

After missing the entire previous season due to injury, Jasprit Bumrah quickly left his mark in IPL 2024. Mumbai Indians’ opening bowlers were Hardik Pandya and Luke Wood, but Bumrah joined the attack in the fourth over. Gujarat’s openers, Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha, had a decent start with 27 runs in the first three overs. Bumrah began with three dot balls, then Saha hit him for a boundary. However, Bumrah struck back on the fifth delivery, dismissing Saha.

Bumrah, known for his lethal yorkers, delivered one from a wide angle. Saha couldn’t react quickly enough, and the ball crashed into his middle stump. Misreading the line, Saha was clean bowled, departing after scoring 19 runs.

Meanwhile, Malinga’s reaction to Bumrah’s wicket has also gone viral on the internet. Watch the viral video here:

Hardik Pandya, leading the Mumbai Indians (MI), chose to field after winning the toss. It was his first time back at the Narendra Modi Stadium since departing from the Gujarat Titans. However, he faced a hostile reception from the crowd, who booed him during the toss to express their discontent.

At the time of reporting, Gujarat Titans had reached 105 for 3 in the 13th over. Although captain Shubman Gill showed promise with the bat, scoring 31 runs, he failed to capitalize on the start and was dismissed. Sai Sudharsan and Azmatullah Omarzai then built a partnership, adding 40 runs for the third wicket before Omarzai was caught out by Gerald Coetzee.
