Martin Guptill took an absolute blinder in the first semi final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, to dismiss Rilee Rossouw. Guptill, who is one of the best fielders in the world, took a brilliant one-handed catch.

Earlier, South Africa chose to bat first after winning the toss and scored 297 runs in 43 overs. South Africa suffered early blows as New Zealand’s fast bowler Trent Boult took quick wickets with the new ball to push South Africa on the backfoot. But, Faf du Plessis held the innings together and scored a half-century, as South Africa crossed 150-mark in the 32nd over. Du Plessis scored his 15th half-century in ODIs. His fifty came off 85 deliveries including four boundaries along with a strike rate of 58.82. It was a slow knock but very important considering the two early blows that pushed the Proteas on the backfoot.

Later, South Africa’s power-packed middle order played very aggressively and scored runs freely all around the park. David Miller scored 49 runs off just 18 balls and the skipper AB de Villiers scored 65 runs off just 45 balls , including 8 fours and 1 six.

New Zealand now have a mammoth task ahead of them to progress in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
