England’s all-rounder Moeen Ali took a brilliant hat-trick in the second innings of the third Test match of the ongoing 4-match series between England and South Africa.
Mooed Ali bowled brilliantly and dismissed Dean Elgar and Kagiso Rabada with the final two balls of his 16th over, and then Morne Morkel on the first ball of his next over.
After losing the second Test, England came back strongly in the third match and outplayed South Africa in all three departments of the game. On a pitch that lots of assistance for seam bowlers, England batted well after losing the toss. All-rounder Ben Stokes smashed a brilliant hundred that helped England put an above par total on the board.
Moeen Ali’s hat-trick has made him the first English off-spinner to take a Test hat-trick since Tom Goddard in 1938.
