England’s all-rounder Moeen Ali played a brilliant knock in the first innings of the first Test of the ongoing 5-match series between India and England. Mooen, who came in to bat at no. 5, scored his third Test hundred and as many are saying his best so far.
Ali showed good technique and temperament on a pitch that had no demons in it and was easy to bat there was no or very little assistance for spin. Ali played 213 balls and scored 117 runs.
Mooen Ali’s knock came to an courtesy a brilliant in-swinger by India’s speedster Mohammad Shami. Shami, who faced some injuries issues while bowling, came around the wicket the wicket and angled the ball in and Moeen Ali made an error in judgement and the ball crashed straight on to the off-stump.
