IPL 2017: MS Dhoni is one of the fastest runners between the wickets in world cricket. But in the match between Delhi Daredevils and Rising Pune Supergiant at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi, on Saturday, Dhoni was outplayed by Mohammed Shami. Mohammed Shami inflicted the match-winning moment with a spot-on direct hit to dismiss MS Dhoni.
Dhoni was slow off his mark and didn’t even anticipate that the throw will come at his end. In a rare display of poor running between the wickets, Dhoni was caught well short off the mark by Mohammed Shami.
The rare run out occurred in the 18th over of RPS innings when Dhoni glanced a Pat Cummins delivery to fine leg and jogged towards the non-striker’s end. Watch it here:
