India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal gave arguably the best bowling performance by an Indian bowler T20I cricket, in the third T20I against England of the recently concluded series against England. Chahal became the first Indian bowler to take 6 wickets in an innings of a T20I match.
Chahal, who hails from Bangalore and playing in front of his home crowd, gave one of the most memorable performances by an Indian bowler in T20 international cricket. Yuzvendra didn’t bowl particularly well in his first spell but he came back very strongly in his second spell and finished with the figures of 25 for 6 in his 4 overs.
Chahal was awarded man of the match for his performance and he was also given the man of the series award for his consistent performances throughout the 3-match T20I series. After the match when Team India went back to their hotel, Chahal was given a very special ‘cake facial ‘by his captain Virat Kohli and former captain MS Dhoni.
