Walking out to open the innings for Kolkata Knight Riders, Phil Salt aggressively attacked the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers right from the beginning. He didn’t hold back and ensured that he propelled his team to a strong start at their home ground, Eden Gardens.
Phil Salt’s standout performance occurred in the 4th over of the game, where he dominated Lockie Ferguson’s bowling. The English batsman showcased his batting prowess by scoring 28 runs off Ferguson’s over at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

During the 4th over of the game, Phil Salt unleashed the beast in him and started smashing the bowler to all the corners of the ground. He started the havoc by smashing a wide delivery over cover-point for a boundary. Then, he smashed another boundary by driving a short ball over mid-off.
Salt didn’t stop there as he finished the over strongly by smashing one more boundary. He scored 28 runs in that over, giving his team a significant boost.

Though, Phil Salt started on a sensational note for his side but he couldn’t maintain the momentum. Mohammed Siraj dismissed him on the second ball of the following over. Salt contributed 48 runs off just 14 balls, with a remarkable strike rate of over 342. His stunning knock was laced with 7 fours and 3 sixes, taking his team KKR past the 100-run mark in quick succession.
