Batting first, Virat Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis opened with a partnership of 125 runs. RCB captain Du Plessis got out after scoring 44 runs. Maxwell (1), Sourav Chauhan (9), and Cameron Green (5 not out) didn’t contribute much. Virat remained unbeaten till the end, scoring 113 runs off 72 balls, including 12 fours and 4 sixes.

But Buttler carried on the momentum and scored an unbeaten century, making 100 runs off 58 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. He was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
