Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli won the 3-match ODI series against England 2-1. After losing the first two matches, England made a good comeback in the third ODI at Eden Gardens and won the match by 5 runs.

It was Virat Kohli’s first series and he would be very happy to start his ODI captaincy career with a win. India lost the third and final ODI match against England at Eden Gardens. Kedar Jadhav gave a heroic effort but he fell short in the end. Chasing England’s 321 for six, India made 316 runs and fell short by five runs.

But thanks to India’s performances in the first two ODIs, they won the series and celebrated in style after the match. The ODI trophy was handed over to Virat Kohli by former Indian captain and president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Sourav Ganguly.
