Suresh Raina is one of the best fielders in world cricket. He is a live wire on the field and gives his best in every single match he plays. In the first match of the ongoing T20I series between India and England, Raina was making a comeback to international cricketer after a long gap. In the last 12 months or so, Raina hasn’t been in the best of form and this is why he was dropped and asked to work hard at the domestic level. Raina did that and earned a call for the ongoing T20I series against England.
Raina came in to bat at number and scored 34 runs off just 23 balls. He looked comfortable in the middle and was striking the ball really well. He also made a spectacular effort on the boundary and almost pulled off an unbelievable catch.
England’s captain Eoin Morgan played a lofted sweep off Yuzvendra Chahal’s bowling and it looked six the moment he hit it. But Raina showed great skills and presence of mind to stop the ball from crossing the boundary. He judged the ball well and timed his jump to perfection but while coming down, he lost his balance and had to throw the ball back into the play as he was about to cross the boundary line.
