VIDEO: Virat Kohli Argues With Faf du Plessis After He Gets A Top Edge

RCB piled up a total of 212 runs against LSG courtesy of blazing half-centuries from the top 3 of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell.

It was a proper run-fest, the Chinnaswamy living up to its reputation as the LSG bowlers couldn’t find a hiding with the RCB trio going hammer and tongs on them.

At the start of the innings though, the packed crowd at the Chinnaswamy had their hearts in their mouths when he top-edged a short ball from fast bowler Avesh Khan. Fortunately, and to the respite of the RCB and Kohli fans, the ball flew over the keeper’s head and over the boundary behind for a six.

In the second over, Avesh pounded his back and bowled a short ball. RCB star batsmen, in the mood to tee off and maximize the powerplay, went after the short ball with a pull shot, however, he could only manage a top-edge, but luckily for him, the ball went for a six over the fine leg boundary.

Virat Kohli

He was then seen having an animated discussion with batting partner The Skipper. The South African seemed to be suggesting that the ball was well on Kohli’s helmet height and instead of going for the pull, the batter should have looked for an upper cut. Kohli was having none of it and instead decided to show it to Faf with his bat that perhaps it would have been more difficult for him to play the upper cut shot and hence he went for the pull.

On air, the commentator suggested that Kohli’s “emotions get the better of him”.
