A very funny incident happened in the 24th over of Day 1 of the fifth Test of the ongoing series between India and England, when India’s skipper chased a ball and threw it straight at the helmet. It was a good effort by Virat Kohli to run backwards and chase the ball but it all turned hilarious when he threw the ball straight on to the helmet and the batting side was awarded 5 penalty runs.
It happened during the 24th over of the England first innings, with local boy Ravichandran Ashwin bowling to Joe Root. Off the third ball, Root missed the line of the ball, and an inside-edge managed to beat wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel. Watch it here:
