Video: Virat Kohli Dances To My Name Is Lakhan Song When Fielding During IND vs SL

Whether with the bat or in the field, Virat Kohli entertained the Wankhede crowd thoroughly during the India vs Sri Lanka match on Thursday in Mumbai.

India romped home by a massive margin of victory and sealed their semi-final spot, becoming the first team to qualify for the semis in the World Cup 2023, and Rohit Sharma’s side remains the only unbeaten side in the tournament.

With the three India fast bowlers – Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj – on fire under the evening moon, Virat Kohli charged up the crowd and also got involved with them by shaking his leg for a brief moment on the My Name Is Lakhan song.

A fan at the ground, Sameer Allana, posted the video of Virat Kohli, while standing in slips, dancing to the My Name Is Lakhan song before Jasprit Bumrah was getting ready on his mark. Kohli did the traditional step of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor in this song, and he got a massive cheer from the crowd. Kohli responded to the cheer with a smile.

Virat Kohli hypes up the Wankhede crowd

The Indian fast bowlers were rendered unplayable by the Sri Lankan batters. As the pacers breathed venom with the ball, Kohli charged and hyped up the Wankhede crowd, gesturing for them to raise up their volumes as Bumrah ran in to bowl.
