VIDEO: Virender Sehwag explains why he sings during batting

In an interview with Anjum Chopra in Punjabi, former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag revealed the reason on why he sings while batting. Virender Sehwag said that he thought a lot about batting when at the crease and that had an adverse effect. Singing songs keeps his mind free and he thinks less about the kind of bowling and more on getting the lyrics right. His favourite song is Kishore Kumar’s ‘Chala Jata Hoon’, which he claims he sings quite frequently. Most of the times, he sings songs that are being played in the dressing room and when runs are not coming he sings devotional bhajans. He laughs, “Once the runs start flowing I get back to Bollywood numbers like Chitiya Kaliya.” Watch it here:
