This Video Of Virat Kohli Bowling In Nets Has Gone Viral

Former India skipper Virat Kohli turned into a bowler in the nets ahead of the T20I series against Australia. It seems that we may see Kohli rolling his arm over with the ball in hand against the Aussies.

The 3-T20I series begins on Tuesday, the first match slated for Mohali.

When Rishabh Pant came to bat, Kohli took over the bowling duties, and even managed to stun his teammates, the reaction of whom has gone viral on social media.

Kohli recently bowled an over against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022 and did well to concede only 6 runs. India have been in need of some part-time overs to get in an extra batsman, but haven’t been able to do so, and hence at times, India have had to compromise in the batting department.

Will Virat Kohli open for India at T20 World Cup?

Meanwhile, India skipper Rohit Sharma confirmed that KL Rahul is India’s first-choice opener and will open at the T20 World Cup in Australia next month. However, Sharma also said that Kohli is India’s third opener and left the thought ajar of Kohli, too, opening in some matches.

“I have had a chat with Rahul bhai [Dravid, the coach] that we will have to open with Virat in some matches because he is our third opener. We saw that in the last match, and we are quite happy with what we saw. I don’t think we will experiment for that position a lot,” Rohit said.

“KL Rahul, according to me, will play the World Cup, and open. His performances for India tend to go unnoticed. He is a very important player for India. If you look at his record over the last two-three years, it is very good.

Kohli opened in the absence of the resting Rohit in India’s final match at the Asia Cup, a dead rubber vs Afghanistan, and scored his first T20I hundred, his first in international cricket in nearly three years.
