Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen is among those who came out in support of Virat Kohli who has been struggling for form and big runs recently.

Pietersen wrote a heartfelt message on his Instagram for the Indian batting star who is currently having a horrific tour of England; Kohli hasn’t gone past 20 on this tour yet: he managed scores of 11 and 20 in the Edgbaston Test; 1 and 11 in two T20I matches; and then a score of 16 in the second ODI.

Amid this lean patch, there has been a number of experts calling for Kohli’s place in the eleven.

Virat Kohli has got huge support on social media

Kevin Pietersen showed his support to his former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate. The commentator hailed Kohli’s incredible achievements so far in his career, saying that even some of the most successful cricketers could only dream of what Kohli has achieved. Pietersen strongly stated that Kohli will be back soon.

“Buddy, your career has had some of the best that have played the game only wish they could have done what you have(so far). Be proud, walk tall & enjoy life. There’s way more than just the bubble of cricket out there. You’ll be back,” Pietersen wrote on his Instagram post and tagged Virat Kohli.

Babar Azam stunned the fans across both nations when he tweeted on Kohli, lending his support to the 33-year-old Indian batsman, giving him the strength to hang in the hard times.

“This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli,” wrote Babar sharing a picture of himself with Kohli from the T20 World Cup last year. His tweet broke out a storm as it went viral in no time and has gained over 300,000 likes.

Kohli thanked Azam for his tweet, and in return sent the Pakistani skipper his wishes and good luck for his career
