Maxwell added 202 runs for the eighth wicket with captain Pat Cummins (12*) to help Australia chase down the target of 293 runs in 46.5 overs. The victory over Afghanistan was Australia’s most successful chase in the ODI World Cup history, and with their sixth win in a row, the Australians have now qualified for the semi-finals as well, where they will lock horns with South Africa.
