WATCH: Virat Kohli Hits Mustafizur For An Easy Six In Chinnaswamy

Star RCB batter Virat Kohli recorded his 3rd fifty of the IPL 2023 season in only 4 innings as he returned with a score of 50 (34) against DC, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In the hot afternoon in Bangalore, Virat Kohli came out with intent and purpose, and showed it right away against one of the fastest bowlers in the world, Anrich Nortje. He cracked Nortje for two fours in the first over itself and proceeded to register another brilliant half-century with the help of 6 gorgeous boundaries and one disdainful sixer to Mustafizur.

It turned out to be a tricky pitch in Bangalore. The pitch offered bowlers some help after getting dried and baked in the sun.

But until Virat Kohli was batting, it looked all easy. He made it look easy.

Just like he nonchalantly hit Mustafizur Rahman for a six before reaching his fifty. On the 4th ball of the 10th over, Rahman bowled a terrible ball – pitched short and outside leg-stump. Kohli stood his ground and lifted this ball on his hips for an easy six over fine leg. The fine-leg fielder was in the circle so the batter was not concerned that there wasn’t much power in the shot as it just cleared the rope for a 69-meter six.

Kohli was indeed very animated, pumped up and aggressive in his celebration of his half-century and looked destined for a big one. However, soonafter reaching his fifty, he hit a full toss from Lalit Yadav straight to the deep mid-wicket fielder.
