Virat Kohli, the talisman Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman, is the biggest international cricket superstar right now and one of the two biggest names in the IPL right now, along with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni.
Even though RCB and Virat Kohli have not won a single IPL trophy yet, despite reaching the final three times, their fanbase keeps on increasing, and they get a huge amount of support in the stands and on social media.
Virat Kohli is only behind Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in terms of most earnings through salary in the IPL.
However, Virat Kohli is now not the highest-paid player in RCB!

Since IPL 2022, Virat Kohli has been on a per-season salary of INR 15 crore. While he was the highest-paid RCB player until the last auction, the trading in of Australian all-rounder Cameron Green slipped Kohli to the second spot.
Cameron Green was bought by the Mumbai Indians for INR 17.5 crore in the IPL 2023 auction. But with MI needing to free up funds in order to accommodate Hardik Pandya, who was being traded from the Gujarat Titans, MI got into a trade with RCB for Green.
RCB had to trade in Green for his same salary at MI, which is INR 17.5 crore. This made a big hole in RCB’s budget for the IPL 2024 auction, where they were desperate to get Pat Cummins but eventually realized they would fall short of money if they bought Cummins.
RCB will also now have to tinker with their batting line-up to include Green, who had success at MI at the number 3 position, but that spot belonged to Glenn Maxwell over the last two seasons at RCB.
Highest-paid RCB players for IPL 2024:
Cameron Green – INR 17.5 crore
Virat Kohli – INR 15 crore
Alzarri Joseph – INR 11.5 crore
Glenn Maxwell – 11 crore
Faf du Plessis and Mohammed Siraj – INR 7 crore
