Virat Kohli is the Cristiano Ronaldo of Indian cricket: Nasser Hussain

Virat Kohli raises the bar with every innings he plays for India. In the last 3 years or so, Kohli has established himself as the backbone of India’s batting unit. He is a master when it comes to chasing big totals and now people are falling short of adjectives to describe Virat Kohli and his ‘dream run’ in international cricket.

In the first match of the ongoing One Day International (ODI) series between India and England, Virat Kohli, once again, showed the world that why he is the best when it comes to chasing big totals in limited-overs cricket.

Former England captain and a well known cricket commentator Nasser Hussain showered praise on Kohli and compared him to Cristiano Ronaldo. Nasser said that Virat Kohli is the Cristiano Ronaldo of Indian cricket.

“I think what Kohli is trying to do is push the boundary and raise the bar of everything he does. I read out here that he prefers Ronaldo to Messi. Messi was given a lot of natural ability but he prefers Ronaldo, who has made himself the footballer that he is and pushed himself on and off football pitch, and that is what Kohli has done in cricketing terms”, Hussain, while covering the match for SkySports.
