Virat Kohli Made This Special Effort For Today’s Match

Indian captain Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen in world cricket across all three formats of the game. In the last 5 years or so, he has worked extremely hard on his game and established himself as one of the modern-day greats of the game. His record, in all three formats of the game, is nothing short of spectacular.

But, in his career so far, there is one thing that has bothered him the most. In his first tour of England, Kohli’s technique outside off was exposed by English bowlers, specially James Anderson. Kohli has a habit of reaching out to deliveries that are pitched outside the off stump and in English conditions, where ball swings a lot, he gets himself in trouble.

In the ongoing Champions Trophy 2017, Kohli has once again been vulnerable outside the off stump. But, to improve this part of the game and get himself prepared for the big test against the mighty Proteas, Kohli was seen using a different technique in the nets to strengthen his game outside the off stump. The Indian captain was seen practising with the red ball. Now, the reason behind using the red ball is– because it swings more as compared to the white one which is used in limited-overs cricket. Kohli knows the importance of his form in the must win match against South Africa and he is making best efforts to overcome his weakness.
