Virat Kohli and co. continued with their winning streak as they defeated Bangladesh in the ICC Test Championship by an innings and 130 runs in Indore. The result of the match was not difficult to guess as the Indian cricketers piled up more than 400 runs on the second day with Mayank Agarwal smashing a spectacular double century.
The match turned out to be rarest of the match when Virat Kohli failed to shine with the bat. Virat Kohli was trapped LBW for a duck by Abu Jayed in the ongoing Test between India and Bangladesh. However, Mayank Agarwal somehow held the fort with his partner Ajinkya Rahane with a 168-run stand between them.
The young batsmen had a spectacular home season as he went on to score 243 runs. Mayank scored his double century in only his 4th Test match and took the Indian team to victory side.
Meanwhile, the best moment of the match came in during his knock, when Mayank reached the 150-run mark and that too with a boundary on the onside. Celebrating his 150-run mark, when Mayank Agarwal raised his bae to celebrate, Indian skipper signaled that he wanted Agarwal to add another 50 to his tally and score a double century. The video of which went viral on social media.
Mayank Agarwal welcomed the message and responded with a thumbs-up and what happened next is just History.

After the match, Virat Kohli was asked about his gesture to Mayank Agarwal to go for his double century. He revealed:
“I don’t really know what to say. Clinical performances all around. The team is playing really well. I can’t say something which people are not seeing on TV. Fast bowlers are at the top of their game. It’s a dream bowling combination for any skipper. Even the slip fielders are ready as they know the ball can come any over,”
He added:
“The numbers and the records are there to see. Our focus is to take the Indian cricket higher and higher. The motivation and the intent is right and we don’t care about the numbers,”
