Indian captain Viart Kohli addressed the media before the third and final Test of the ongoing between Sri Lanka and India. Kohli, who is very satirised with his team’s authoritative performance in the first two matches, revealed that India’s chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has a “good” chance of playing in the third and final Test.

Virat Kohli Reveals Who Will Replace Ravindra Jadeja In The Third Test

After Ravindra Jadeja was banned for one match after the second Test, there were speculations that his replacement Axar Patel will make his Test debut. Some media houses also reported that off-spinner Jayant Yadav might also feature in the playing XI.

But, putting all the speculations to rest, the Indian captain told media that Kuldeep Yadav has a good chance of playing, which means, he will play in the third Test in place of Ravindra Jadeja, who was recently announced as the number 1 bowler and number 1 all-rounder in Test cricket by International Cricket Council (ICC).

When asked about Jadea’s replacement in the third Test, Kohli said that Kuldeep Yadav is a kind of bowler who is willing to bowl in any situation and he has a very good chance of playing tomorrow.

“A guy like Kuldeep Yadav is willing to bowl in any situation. He had proved himself during the Dharamsala Test and thus has a good chance of playing tomorrow,” Kohli said in the pre-match press conference.

“Those who are performing and playing well should continue to play more games than not, and to be a consistent side we need to have consistency as well,” he added.
