Former South Africa skipper and one of world cricket’s most entertaining batsmen, AB de Villiers is celebrating his 38th birthday today. Hailed as the modern legend of this game, ‘Mr 360’ AB de Villiers has been receiving praises from all the corners of the world. And as the world united in their wishes, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli also penned down a heartfelt note for his ‘brother’ and fellow Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman on his special day.

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers share a great bond of friendship with each other. Both Kohli and De Villiers shared the RCB dressing room from 2011 to the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League and over the years they have formed a brotherly bond.

On Thursday, Kohli turned to his official Instagram handle to share a birthday post for his good friend and former teammate. “Happy birthday biscuit, lots of love to you always my brother,” Kohli wrote in his Instagram post.

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers have entertained the fans thoroughly with their high-class batting, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. However, the duo won’t be seen joining forces again as De Villiers has retired from all forms of cricket.

In fact, AB de Villiers played his last days of cricket in the IPL before he announced his decision to retire from all forms of the game last year. . De Villiers has played 184 matches in the IPL and has scored 5,162 runs at an average of 39.50. He is amongst the highest run-scorers of all time and will be badly missed in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.
