Watch: Virat Kohli Smashes Sixes In Nets, Faf du Plessis’ Reaction Goes Viral

The warning from Virat Kohli and RCB to the other 9 franchises has been sent very resoundingly from the latest video uploaded by the IPL of the RCB star batting – smashing sixes – in the nets.

RCB will kick-start their IPL 2023 campaign on Sunday night, hosting the Mumbai Indians at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Unlike the previous years, RCB have shown more consistency in recent years, having qualified for the playoffs in the last three seasons, but failed to reach the playoffs. That upsurge of RCB, however, coincided with the dip in Virat Kohli’s form, that being a key reason for theirs not reaching the final.

However, in the past year, Virat Kohli has got back his form, his mojo, his best rhythm, and is in the second wind of his career. That was showcased in his powerful hitting of the ball in this video of RCB nets session.

Kohli went berserk in the nets, smashing the balls aerially and very well down the ground. He hit sixes standing on his spot and also dancing down the pitch, to full balls and to length balls, timing it sweetly and powerfully, the ball flying off his willow.

The hitting – especially in the straight V – was so brilliant that it distracted RCB skipper Faf du Plessis who was giving an interview near the boundary. After every echo of the ball meeting Virat’s bat, Du Plessis looked toward the net and in the air, admiring the quality of the shots and also being careful to not get hit by the flying ball. Mostly, it went over his head for a maximum.

“He’s just firing balls all the time,” du Plessis quipped at the end.
