Virat Kohli steps down as Indian cricket team captain

Virat Kohli has made a shocking announcement that he will step down from Team India’s captaincy after the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Speaking at an event in Delhi, Kohli said that he wants to focus on his batting and Ajinkya Rahane can now take over a Indian cricket team’s captain after his successful debut as Indian captain in the fourth Test of the recently concluded Test series between India and Australia.

“I want to focus only on my batting now. I had a poor series against Australia and it has forced me to make this tough decision,” Kohli said.

Virat Kohli led India brilliantly in the home season 2016/17. In the last 365 days, Virat Kohli (1503) has scored the most numbers of runs in Test cricket. He became the first batsman ever to score 4 double hundreds in consecutive series.

NOTE: Happy April Fool’s Day. Kohli is India’s captain and he is going to lead us for many more years. Sorry. Not Sorry! 😛

Bura na mano Kohli hai!
