Virat Kohli Trolled Rajasthan Royals ‘Like A Boss’ After RCB’s Thumping Win

Royal Challengers Bangalore thrashed Rajasthan Royals by a whopping 112 runs on Sunday in a one-sided affair at the IPL 2023. After setting up a target of 172 runs, RCB’s bowlers put up a memorable show and managed to dismiss Rajasthan for just 59 runs in 10.3 overs.

The Royals’ batting lineup failed miserably in the game as they could only score 59 runs in 10.3 overs during their chase, failing to get even close to RCB’s 171 runs from the first innings. With this, they registered the third-lowest total in the Indian Premier League. Shimron Hetmyer’s cameo of 35 runs from just 19 balls helped Rajasthan avoid humiliation.

Meanwhile, batting maestro Virat Kohli claimed that had he bowled during Rajasthan’s innings, the Sanju Samson-led side would have been all out for just 40 runs. In a video shared by the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli said:

“If I had bowled, they would’ve been all out for 40.”

The post went viral in no time and was flooded with epic reactions from the fans. Check out how fans reacted to Kohli’s statement:

This was RCB’s 6th win in 12 games in the ongoing season, also resulting in a big net run rate boost. Speaking at the post-match chat, Faf du Plessis said:

“Really good for our NRR,”

He added: “Tough pitch. We batted first and assessed the conditions. We batted in the powerplay and thought 160 will be a good score. We have had a good set up till the 15th over. But we managed to capitalize on the momentum shift at the end. Great job.”

The Proteas further added, “Bracewell would want to bowl on this every day of the week. We needed a left-arm spinner. May be Shahbaz could have been an option. Wrist spin could have been an attacking option. Hopefully, we can set it up for the last game at the Chinnaswamy. Today was a good one for the team. They needed this confidence to go into the last two games.”

RCB is currently sitting in the 5th position in the IPL 2023 points table with 6 wins and 6 defeats. RCB will be next seen in action in the upcoming game against Gujarat Titans on Sunday, 21st May.
