Virat Kohli was at his animated best during India’s fielding at the Wankhede stadium in the IND vs SL World Cup 2023 match.
As India were romping home to a massive win over Sri Lanka, with the pacers taking one wicket after another, Virat Kohli enjoyed his time fielding in the slips and frequently interacted with the crowd.
He reacted by doing a bowling action when the crowd chanted “Kohli ko bowling do”. He also turned the “Sara Sara” chants into “Shubman Gill” chants!
Fans are very well aware of the rumors of Shubman Gill dating Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Sachin Tendulkar who was present at the Wankhede stadium on Thursday to watch the India vs Sri Lanka match.
When Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were standing in slips, the fans teasted Gill with “Sara Sara” chants. Kohli observed it, looked at the crowd, went near to Shubman Gill, who was sitting on his haunches waiting for the bowler to begin his run-up. Kohli then pointed to Gill and the Wankhede crowd let out a huge roar before commencing a “Shubman Gill” chant.
This act of Kohli to get the youngster have some support from the Wankhede crowd was applauded by fans on social media and the 34-year-old mega-star once again won hearts with his gesture.

Shubman Gill scored 92 runs, Kohli scored 88, and Shreyas Iyer scored 82 as India racked up 357 on the board.
