Virat Kohli the entertainer never fails to entertain the crowd. Such is the aura of the 34-year-old Indian superstar that crowds be it in India or overseas enjoy the game along with him when he’s on the field.

On Thursday, at the Wankhede stadium, as India progressed toward another victory in the World Cup 2023, against Sri Lanka, the chants of “Kohli Ko Bowling Do” began revving up and the man himself excited the crowd by doing a bowling run-up and action.

When India were dominating the Sri Lankan batters, and more than half of Lanka’s batting line-up had been bundled out for less than even 30 runs, the Wankhede crowd started a chant of “Kohli Ko Bowling Do”.

Standing in the slips, Virat Kohli hyped up the crowd by doing some warm-ups by rotating his shoulders. Then, he even jogged a few steps and did his bowling action in the air and it got a huge cheer from the crowd. Virat Kohli was seen practicing bowling before the match, but wasn’t needed during the match as the three pacers did most of the job, bowling Sri Lanka out for only 55 runs inside 20 overs.

You can check out the videos of Kohli’s reaction to the crowd’s chants at the end of this article.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was one of the three Indian batters to record a half-century, however, none of the three could record a century, despite coming near to a three-figure mark.

Shubman Gill scored 92 runs, Kohli scored 88, and Shreyas Iyer scored 82 as India amassed 357 runs. The limelight was then stolen by the pacers: Jasprit Bumrah took the first wicket and then Mohammed Siraj took 3 wickets before Mohammed Shami rocked up with a 5-wicket haul to take the Man of the Match award.

This response of Virat Kohli to the chants of “Kohli Ko Bowling Do” has gone viral.
