An era came to an end as India’s ace stock market investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala died this morning at a Mumbai hospital. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was hailed as ‘India’s Warren Buffet’ for his Midas touch.
According to sources, the investor was brought to the Candy Breach Hospital at 6:45 am in the morning and was declared dead. He was suffering from multiple health issues including kidney ailments and had been discharged from the hospital a few weeks ago.
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was both a trader and a chartered accountant. He was one of the richest men in the country. He was also the co-founder of Akasa Air, India’s newest airline which began commercial operations last week. He made his last appearance in public at Akasa Air’s launch.
Apart from this, Jhunjhunwala was also chairman of Hungama Media and Aptech, as well as a director of Viceroy Hotels, Concord Biotech, Provogue India, and Geojit Financial Services.
As the ace trader breathed his last today, social media was flooded with tributes and condolence messages for Jhunjhunwala. From cricketers and celebrities to prominent people around the country, everyone took to social media to pay their respect to Mr. Jhunjhunwala.
Among many, former Indian cricketer and batting legend Virender Sehwag also took to his social media and paid a heartfelt tribute to Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. He wrote:

Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi also took to his social media and paid a heartfelt tribute to Jhunjhunwala. In his Tweet, Mr. Modi hailed the inspirational journey of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and his contribution to the financial world. He wrote:
