This was the second time that the Indian cricket team was able to pull-off a T20I victory on New Zealand soil.

However, what became the highlight of the match was the thrilling knock played by Shreyas Iyer and took the Indian team to the victory sides. Shreyas Iyer’s brilliant match-winning knock and finishing skills helped India emerge victorious in the first T20I. He scored 29-ball 58, he smashed the ball to all the corners of the ground in the first T20I. He smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes.
