Virender Sehwag was all praise for India’s Test captain Virat Kohli, after the win against England in the fourth Test. Virender Sehwag defined Virat Kohli’s double hundred as one of the best he has seen and also applauded his captaincy skills.

During the post match show, Virender Sehwag said on air that Virat Kohli is now more than prepared to lead India in all three formats of the game and it’s high time that selectors hand over this responsibility to him.

Earlier, Sehwag has said that MS Dhoni should remain India’s captain in limited-overs cricket till 2019 but now he has changed his mind, it seems and he wants Virat Kohli to take over as India’s captain in all three formats of the game. Off late, many questions have been raised about MS Dhoni’s captaincy as many believe he is not as good as he used to be and the baton should be passed over to Virat Kohli. While there is still a large section of fans who want Dhoni to continue, the support for Virat Kohli is growing everyday.

Virender Sehwag’s open endorsement for Virat Kohli as India’s captain in all three formats of the game, will only add more to the debate. There is no doubt that MS Dhoni is one of the best captains in cricket history and he is still very fit and able to lead Team India in limited-overs cricket, but Virat Kohli’s brilliant captaincy skills at the Test match level have started to make everyone wonder when is the right time to hand him over the captaincy in limited-overs cricket as well.
