Sourav Ganguly’s appointment as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) comes as a refreshing change. Fans just can’t wait for the ‘Dadagiri’ to begin again. People on social media are excited about the news and are flooding social media with posts dedicated to the former skipper.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, who shares a very good rapport with the former skipper also took to his social media and congratulated Ganguly through a heartfelt post.
It was Sourav Ganguly who had asked Sehwag to open in the Test cricket as there was no place in the middle-order and then there was no turning back for Sehwag. Sehwag retired from the test cricket with 8586 runs, including two double-centuries.
From backing his players to restoring the faith of fans in cricket again, the contribution of Sourav Ganguly in Indian cricket can’t be expressed in words. Virender Sehwag called the appointment of Ganguly as the President of BCCI shows great signs for the Indian cricket. He wrote:
“Congratulations Dada @SGanguly99 . Der hai Andher nahi. Great signs for Indian Cricket. May this stint be an extension of the tremendous contribution you have already had on Indian cricket.”
