As the T20 World Cup 2020 is just a few months away, there is a lot of anticipation and excitement surrounding it. Cricketers and spectators are coming up with their playing XI for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which will take place later this year.
The former India batsman VVS Laxman has also announced his playing XI squad for the mega event. He announced his playing XI when the men in blue were busy in the Second T20i Against Sri Lana yesterday, where the Virat Kohli led team defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets.
Well, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli is leading VVS Laxman’s team for the World Cup as he has picked him as the captain for his team.
Surprisingly, there is no space for the Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan. Also, the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni also failed to find a spot in his playing XI as VVS announced his India team for the T20 World Cup on Star Sports.
In his playing squad, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will be opening the innings for India. Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, and Rishabh Pant are picked to balance the middle order. Rishabh Pant has been given the responsibility of wicketkeeping as well.
