Former Pakistan captain and legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram shared a hilarious story about Virat Kohli scaring him in his dreams!

While we have previously heard from Shane Warne how Sachin Tendulkar used to come in his dreams and smash him to give him nightmares, this comment coming from Wasim Akram is intriguing and interesting because Virat Kohli never played against Akram.

On Sunday, during an interaction with Star Sports for the channel’s broadcast in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India and Pakistan, Akram made a hilarious statement, which he also shared with Kohli himself.

Akram said that he told Virat Kohli that the Indian cricketer came in his dreams. When Kohli laughingly asked why that is so, Akram said it’s because Virat is such a popular figure, he’s everywhere on the television screen, in banners and posters around the stadiums where he plays.

“Today, [Sunday] I walked past him and told Virat Kohli that you come in my dreams now. He replied saying ‘what do you mean Wasim bhai? I told him because I see so much of you all on the television screen. I just can’t get him out of my mind,” Wasim Akram told Star Sports.

Talking about the India vs Pakistan Super 4 match, the game was halted by rain after India’s innings in 24.1 overs. No more play was possible on Sunday, but the ACC had added a reserve day just for this fixture and the match will resume on Monday.

Virat Kohli, Babar, Shaheen all are match winners: Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram also spoke about the match-winners that are Kohli, Babar Azam, and Shaheen Afridi. He says that on big occasions, these players step to the occasion.

“Virat, Babar, Shaheen and all these match winners, they play this game for these moments – India vs Pakistan. I mean, for Pakistan everybody wants to perform and vice-versa. This is just made or break. Not for guys like Virat Kohli and Babar Azam but for young guys. These games are fun. Yesterday, the whole Colombo was buzzing,” the former pacer added.
