After winning the series opener, the Indian cricket team took an unassailable lead in the 3-match series after winning the second ODI match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Thursday. Team India was guided by a gritty knock of KL Rahul, who held the innings from one end in a 4-wicket victory for the hosts.

India’s left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav made an amazing comeback in the 2nd ODI match of the ongoing three-match series. This was Kuldeep’s first game of the series as Yuzvendra Chahal was preferred over him in the first ODI match at Guwahati. Kuldeep was brought into the playing XI, replacing Yuzvendra Chahal, who was ruled out of the game due to a sore right shoulder.

Kuldeep turned out to be the point of difference between the two sides as not just he picked up three wickets but he also went on to hit the winning runs while batting in the second innings of the game.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to his Twitter and lavished praises on Kuldeep Yadav. In his Tweet, he provided crucial breakthroughs in the middle overs. In his Tweet, Jaffer said that he would pick the left-arm spinner in every playing XI for team India in white-ball cricket. He wrote:

“This wicket taking ability in the middle overs is exactly why I’d pick @imkuldeep18 in every Indian white ball XI. But unfortunately he’s the first one to sit out, and then only comes in as replacement if needed, yet performs well in limited chances he gets. #INDvSL,” Wasim Jaffer wrote.
