While Pakistan’s team director Mohammad Hafeez may claim that Mohammad Rizwan is “a very honest person”, a fan has exposed the lie of Rizwan from his dismissal and the DRS controversy in the 2nd innings of the MCG Test against Australia.
An American YouTuber, with the Twitter handle @Jomboy_, called out Mohammad Rizwan for his lie with video evidence.
In Pakistan’s chase, the game hung in the balance when they needed 98 runs with 5 wickets in hand and Rizwan and Agha Salman batting well with a half-century partnership. One ball from Pat Cummins didn’t bounce as much as Rizwan expected as he looked to duck it, but the ball brushed the strap of his right-hand glove and was caught behind.
While the on-field umpire gave it not out, Cummins got the decision overturned using the DRS, the third umpire being convinced by the visuals and the HotSpot technology that the ball brushed the strap of Rizwan’s glove.
Rizwan was seen gesturing that the ball hit his arm and not his glove. However, YouTuber Jomboy has now totally unveiled Rizwan’s lie and his apparent attempt to sway Cummins into not taking the review by indicating that the ball struck his arm.
Jomboy uploaded the footage from the game, with his explanation that Rizwan was showing a white spot on his arm. However, Jomboy brought out video footage of the moment Rizwan had come to bat and that white spot on his forearm was already there.
Jomboy commentated: “He (Rizwan) is pointing to his arm. I hope he is not pointing to that white spot. It seems like he might be pointing to that white spot.
“I hope he is not because he showed up to the crease with that white spot on his arm. You can see it when he shows up.”
“And in the review it shows that it hit his wrist band, which is part of the glove, which means it is part of the bat, which means he’s out.”

In the press conference, Mohammad Hafeez said Rizwan told him the ball didn’t hit him near the glove, and Hafeez launched a rant against the “inconsistent umpiring” and the “curse of technology”.
