Watch: Ishant Sharma Bowls A Peach Of A Yorker To Dismiss Andre Russell – The match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders took place in Vizag during an IPL 2024 game. KKR won the toss and decided to bat first. KKR had an impressive start, scoring an incredible 272 runs in just 20 overs. Sunil Narine put on a brilliant display, scoring 85 runs off just 39 balls. Angkrish Raghuvanshi had a great performance, scoring 54 runs off 27 balls, while Andre Russell also contributed with 41 runs off 19 balls. Rinku Singh once again proved his worth in the closing moments, scoring an impressive 26 runs off just 8 balls.

The DC bowlers were getting smashed to all parts of the ground. KKR batters were on a roll and there were a barrage of sixes and boundaries. Dot balls were rare and KKR batters were hammering every bowler all around the ground. One such batter was Andre Russell. Russell again provided the finishing touches to the KKR innings with a strike rate of 215.79 and 4 fours with 3 six. There is no more dangerous sight for the bowlers when Andre Russell gets going. He muscles and powers the ball to all parts of the ground. When he gets going, the bowlers fall short of ideas to execute a plan against him.

In the final over of the innings, Ishant Sharma came up with a peach of a delivery to dismiss Andre Russell. He bowled a toe crushing Yorker and gave absolutely no chance for Russell to swing his arms. The ball was bowled with pace, on the stumps and right at the block hole. Russell did not even get the time to bring the bat down and the ball castled the stumps. Russell absolutely fell flat on the ground with the Yorker. When he was returning back to the pavilion, he applauded Ishant Sharma for the delivery. It was exactly the same delivery with which Mustafizur Rahman dismissed Russell in IPL 2016.
