India captain Rohit Sharma doesn’t hold himself back when expressing his mind out on the field. As elegant as his batting is, Rohit makes himself clear when he has to take charge of his teammates during India’s fielding.
On Day 3 of the Rajkot Test, the India skipper ordered his teammates around to pass the ball quickly and ring the bowling changes faster in order to avoid the over-rate penalty that would show up on the WTC points table.
To speed up the game, the ICC introduced point deduction in the WTC points table, along with the fine. After one of the overs from Mohammed Siraj during the second session on Saturday in Rajkot, Rohit Sharma was heard telling his teammates in clear tone and direction to pass each other the ball quickly in order to complete the overs in the regulated time. His Mumbai accent makes his remarks funnier.
Rohit Sharma was caught on stump mic saying, “Jaldi to mangao ball yaar, hum log teen over piche hai, agar ye log all out hogaye na to hum log ko wo lagega”

Meanwhile, India have taken a big upper hand in Rajkot with a fruitful Day 3. After Ben Duckett’s thunderous century on Day 2, the bowlers came fired up today, and that was notwithstanding the absence of R Ashwin, who had to leave the game to attend a medical emergency in his family.
Mohammed Siraj took a four wicket haul while Kuldeep and Jadeja took two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah took the important scalp of Joe Root.
India took a lead of 126 runs and built on it in the third session. Even as Rohit Sharma got out for only 19 runs, youngsters Jaiswal and Gill piled up with their century partnership. Jaiswal brought up another terrific hundred, smashing 9 fours and 5 sixes but had to retire hurt due to back pain, and Gill remained unbeaten on 65. At stumps on Day 3, India have a lead of 322 runs with 8 wickets in hand.
