[Watch] Josh Hazlewood Hilariously Asks COVID-Positive Cameron Green To Stay Away During Wicket Celebration

Australia all-rounder Cameron Green was hilariously shooed away by pacer Josh Hazlewood from the team celebration after the first wicket of the 2nd Test against West Indies as Green has to remain under the protocols for COVID-positive players.

Green and head coach Andrew McDonald tested positive for the virus a day before the Day-Night Test match at the Gabba in Brisbane. Green was allowed to participate in the match but will have to remain under strict adherence to the protocols of the Australian board and the ICC.

“Cameron Green and Andrew McDonald will be separated from the group until they return a negative test. It will not hinder Green taking part in or McDonald attending the match in line with CA protocols,” Cricket Australia said in a statement.

Cameron Green stood a few meters away from the Australian players during the national anthem and didn’t take part in their team huddle, too.

Then, soon after the start of the match, after Josh Hazlewood dismissed West Indies opener and captain Kraigg Brathwaite, the lanky pacer hilariously shooed Cameron Green away from the celebrations. Green came in from his gully position and gestured to do air fist bumps to Hazlewood while maintaining a distance, but the seamer funnily shooed him away, sending Green into a burst of laughter.
