The Indian cricket team is currently locking their horns with England in the ongoing 1st ODI match. However, before the match kickstarted in Pune, the fans witnessed a very emotional moment shared by Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya.

Before the match kickstarted, team India handed an ODI debut to Krunal Pandya and to make the moment more special for Krunal, it was his younger brother and Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya who handed the cap to him. It was an emotional moment for the Pandya brothers, who lost their father in January this year.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video via their official Twitter handle, which featured Indian skipper Virat Kohli giving a pep talk to the team. Besides this, Krunal and Prasidh can be seen receiving their maiden caps. Upon receiving his cap from his younger brother, Krunal appeared emotional as he looked up in the sky to remember his late father. The cricketer was later consoled by Hardik Pandya as the two geared up for a thriller.

Besides Krunal Pandya, Prasidhh Krishan is also making his debut for the Indian cricket team today. Both the cricketers earned their place in India’s playing squad, all thanks to their superb performances at the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

In the Vijaya Hazare Trophy, captaining Baroda, Krunal scored 388 runs in 5 innings at a strike rate of 117.93 with two hundred and as many fifties. He also picked 5 wickets at a restrictive economy rate of 5.31. On the other hand, Prasidh Krishna was sensational while playing for Karnataka. He picked 14 wickets from 7 games.
