The increased stocks on the cricket field and in the IPL transfer marker for Hardik Pandya have seen him get more love and respect among the local Indians. So much so that there was a grand reception of 7 horses organized to welcome Hardik Pandya in Jamnagar.

The newly appointed Mumbai Indians skipper, Hardik Pandya, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury, recently paid a visit to Jamnagar, a town near his hometown Gujarat. It is not yet known whether Hardik went to meet his relatives or friends or was just on a small vacation in Jamnagar.

A video on social media has gone viral in which the uploader said Hardik visited the Reliance Industries in Jamnagar. Reliance is the company owned by the Ambanis, the owner of the Mumbai Indians, Hardik’s IPL franchise.

The 30-year-old all-rounder arrived in his car where he was greeted with salutes and 7 horses and musical instruments. It was a grand reception for the Baroda-born all-rounder that was organized at the gates of Reliance Industries in Jamnagar.

Hardik Pandya ruled out from the Afghanistan T20I series; Gaikwad likely to lead India vs AFG

As mentioned above, Pandya is still in the recovery process from the ankle injury that he sustained during the World Cup 2023. He missed the South Africa tour and is set to miss the 3 T20Is against Afghanistan next month. Pandya will make his return straight in the IPL 2024, leading the Mumbai Indians, whom he’s rejoined after a two-year stint leading Gujarat Titans.

With Pandya injury, Suryakumar Yadav also injured, and Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah likely to be given a rest from the Afghanistan T20I series – which is sandwiched between the Test series in South Africa and at home vs England – it is likely that Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the side. However, Gaikwad himself is also dealing with a finger injury that he picked in South Africa.
