Indian pacer, Mohammed Siraj has lived up to the expectations once again and proved why he is the right bowler for an overseas tour once again as he dismissed the Australian star-batsman David Warner on Day 1 of the third-test match.
After making a magnificent start to his Test career for India after impressing with his pace and control in the Boxing-day test match in Melbourne. He gave an outstanding performance in the Boxing-Day Test match and became the first debutant for India in seven years to pick five wickets in a Test match. He finished with a five-wicket haul fr 77 runs in 36.3 overs.
He has been exceptional with the ball in his debut Test match and has successfully managed to get better of David Warner in the ongoing game as well. Siraj got rid of David Warner for just 5 runs. David Warner chased a wide delivery from Mohammed Siraj and ended up edging it to the slip, where Cheteshwar Pujara took a brilliant catch.
David Warner returned to return to competitive cricket for the first time since the ODI series. Though he is yet to recover fully from a groin strain.
Meanwhile, Day1 of the third Test match was halted because of the rain, and lunch was taken just 7.1 overs. At the time of the game being halted, the Australians were on 21 for 1 with Pucovski and Marnus Labuschagne in the middle.
