Before the match started at Lords, the toss was won by the England cricket team and they chose to bat first. The England cricketers played an outstanding game lat night and a target of 322 runs was given to the Indian cricket team.
The openers of England cricket team, Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow, gave a power packed start to the game, scoring 40 and 38 respectively.

Joe Root gave an outstanding performance and remained unbeaten till the last ball. He gave a power-packed performance and went on to score 113 runs. With an amazing strike-rate 97.41, Joe Root smashed 8 fours and 1 six.
The captain of England cricket team, Eoin Morgan score 53 runs off 51 balls. On the other hand, Moeen Ali scored 13 runs and was caught out by Rohit Sharma.
Seems like it wasn’t a good day for the Indian batsmen, who’s wickets were bundled up by the cricketers of England one after the other but they tried their best at the field and backed the bowlers.
