Even though India captain Rohit Sharma is still in the process of moving on from the World Cup 2023 final loss, some fans and reporters unnecessarily remind him of it and reopen the wounds and scars which are yet to be healed.
Recently, after Rohit Sharma returned home from South Africa, a reporter reminded the captain about the World Cup final loss, and the skipper could only calmly react to it, nodding and then turning away.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, uploaded by the Instantbollywood Instagram page, a reporter told Rohit that he still gets emotional and gets tears in his eyes.
The reporter said, “Rohit bhai aankhon main aasu aajate hai” as Rohit was tying his car’s seatbelt.
Being taken aback by this confession from the reporter, a concerned Rohit Sharma asked him why, to which he replied he gets emotional thinking about the loss in the World Cup final to Australia. Rohit nodded a then started checking his seatbelt again before looking forward.

Rohit Sharma back to lead India in T20Is

The 36-year-old Rohit Sharma and 35-year-old Virat Kohli are back in the T20Is after a gap of 13 months. The pair last played a T20I in the semi-final against England in T20 World Cup 2022 in Adelaide, which India lost. Rohit has been named the captain for the 3-T20I series against Afghanistan.
This also means that both Rohit and Kohli are very likely to play in the T20 World Cup 2024 in June in the West Indies and the USA. Even though Hardik Pandya has replaced Rohit as the Mumbai Indians skipper, the BCCI and management are reportedly wary of Hardik’s fitness and hence want Rohit to lead in the T20 World Cup as well.
The first IND vs AFG T20I is on January 11 in Mohali
