After five and a half years, the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was seen batting against the illustrious Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry, after the first innings of the ongoing Bushfire Bash match between Ponting XI and Gilchrist XI at the Junction Oval in Melbourne.
And if the first innings action wasn’t enough, the batting maestro smashed some shots against Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry. Sachin Tendulkar, who is known to have been particularly devastating against the great Australian teams, was once again at it.
It was nothing less than an eye treat for the cricket fans as Sachin holding the bat again gave us some major nostalgic feels. While walking upto the pitch, Sachin said that it was the first time in five years that he was picking up a bat. And much to everyone’s delight Sachin Tendulkar smashed a stunning four off the first ball he faced.

Ahead of the match, Ellyse Perry, in a video shared by the official Twitter handle of the Australian Women’s cricket team, can be seen giving a challenge to Sachin Tendulkar to play an over against her.

Sachin readily accepted the challenged threw by Ellyse. Replying to Ellyse, Sachin wrote:
“I would love to go out there and bat an over (much against the advice of my doctor due to my shoulder injury). Hope we can generate enough money for this cause, and to get me out there in the middle”.
Here, check out the reply of Sachin Tendulkar:
