Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar has posted a surreal video of his visit to the Shankaracharya temple in Srinagar last month on social media. In the video, the 50-year-old expressed his profound devotion to the almighty and expressed his amazement on the visit.

Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali, and their daughter Sara were on a vacation last month in Jammu and Kashmir, India’s northernmost territory.

Tendulkar has been keeping his fans updated with pictures and videos about the places his family went to and the people they met. The Tendulkar family were thrilled with their experience in J&K last month and enjoyed their time on a long vacation.

On Friday, the former India batsman uploaded a video of him going to the Shankaracharya temple, which is more than 1000 feet above ground level, and one needs to take a journey of over 240 steps to reach the top of the temple and pay homage to the god.

He posted this video on the occasion of the festival of Mahashivratri on Friday.

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted: “It felt surreal to visit the Shankaracharya temple last month, which is situated at an altitude of 1100 feet above the surface level of Srinagar city. During the 240+ steps ascent, every step felt like a step closer to divinity. I feel truly blessed to have had this experience with my family and friends. #Mahashivratri

Meanwhile, upon returning to Mumbai, Sachin Tendulkar took part in an exhibition game ahead of the launch of the Indian Streer Premier League (ISPL) tournament. Tendulkar played with his former teammates Suresh Raina and Yusuf Pathan, and also the exhibition match involved Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Big Boss winners Elvish Yadav and Munawar Faruqui. The match was played at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane and the stands were filled with fans who came to watch the Master Blaster in action once more.
