Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne seemed eager to assist his bowlers as well as hilariously tried to distract team India’s opening combo of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill on Day2 of the ongoing third Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Much to everyone’s surprise, Marnus came up with interesting questions each for the Indian openers.

Marnus, who was stationed at short leg, put forward a series of questions during his hilarious attempt to distract Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma.

It started when Shubman Gill was batting on 4 and Marnus Labuschagne was fielding at short leg. Marnus asked the Indian opener as to who is his favorite player. He asked: ” Favourite player? Who’s your favourite player?”

Responding to this, Shubman Gill said that he will let him know about his favorite player after the match. He said: “I’ll tell you after the match.“ However, Marnus wasn’t done yet, he asked:  “After the match? Sachin? Or maybe Virat ?”

Later, Rohit Sharma, who was playing the first innings of the tour, also found himself at the receiving end of Marnus’ distractive verbal spells. Marnus asked Rohit: “What did you do in quarantine?”.

However, Rohit Sharma remained calm and unfazed as he continued leading the efforts of team India is closing in on Australia’s first-innings total.
