Tempers flared once again between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir following the completion of the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow on Monday.
10 years on from their epic battler in the middle of the Chinnaswamy ground when Gambhir captained KKR, the duo clashed again, this time Gambhir in the LSG mentor role. Just like it was a decade ago, such was the ferocity and the intensity among both the passionate, competitive players that it needed more than one men to separate them or it could have gotten worse.
Two videos have gone viral on social media. In one, Virat Kohli can be seen talking with LSG opener Kyle Mayers but Gambhir intrudes and drags Mayers out of his conversation with the RCB batter.
Minutes later, the duo clashed head-on with both saying some words to each other. LSG’s Amit Mishra and Vijay Dahiya, RCB captain Faf du Plessis, and a few other people were quick to come in between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir and separate them. Both looked angry with each other.

More videos have surfaced on the internet which shows more anger and frustration from the two superstars. KL Rahul can be seen pacifying Gambhir before having a chat with Kohli.
It seems like Gambhir wanted to confront Virat Kohli about his chats with Naveen-ul-Haq when the latter was batting in a tense chase. There were also finger-on-mouth celebration from Virat Kohli when he took the catch of Krunal, perhaps responding to a similar celebration from Gambhir when LSG had defeated RCB at the Chinnaswamy earlier this season.

Meanwhile, talking about the cricket, RCB produced a splendid bowling display, and equally poor was the batting display from LSG, to defend 126 runs and win by 18 runs.
KL Rahul hurt himself while fielding and didn’t open. He came in at number 11, but by then it was too late and he couldn’t run, so could do little and only delay the loss. RCB and LSG both have 10 points; LSG are 3rd in the points table and RCB are 5th.
